First Snow
by Marie Louise Allen

Snow makes whiteness where it falls.
The bushes look like popcorn-balls.
The places where I always play
Look like somewhere else today.

My whole school is going to Charlottetown to watch a performance of The Christmas Carol.

Tomorrow I am going to post an old family Christmas recipe for Rebecca’s Christmas Recipe Roundup– sugar cookies.

Snow and Charles Dickens and sugar cookies!

It’s beginning to look and feel and sound and taste a lot like Christmas!

  1. It is beginning to feel like christmas! Exciting isn’t it? My boys and I are watching christmas movies, listening to carols, and decorating. I love it! Enjoy A Christmas Carol – what a great story!

  2. I’m looking forward to your sugar cookie recipe. I have a Christmas cookie recipe that I use to make cut out cookies and my kids would think I’d lost my mind if I used another one, but I like sugar cookies and my kids are such Christmas purists that they don’t like it when I use the same recipe to make cut outs at Valentine’s Day! (How’s that for a run on sentence?)Have fun at "The Christmas Carol!"
