And to think that we found The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency series at Value Village on 50% off day and all that in PEI on our holiday…memories!Love his books!Just finished reading Johanna Verweerd’s book:The Winter Garden…loved it…a journey in forgivenessI also just finished Robin MacCraw’s book:Inside My Heart… which I really enjoyed. She is passionate about her role as wife, mother and as a woman…very encouraging!

  2. I really enjoy McCall Smith’s books but of course my favourites are the The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency series I would love to meet the main character Precious Ramotswe. She is a delightful character – warm, funny and wise. I highly recommend starting with those. 44 Scotland Street is a novel chronicling the lives of the residents of 44 Scotland Street in Edinburgh and Espresso Tales is the next installment. It was originally written as a series of stories for The Scotsman,a Scottish newspaper, and then compiled as a novel.I am enjoying these books but not as much as the No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency series.

  3. I have read one of Mr Smith’s books–can’t recall the title–in the Sunday Philosophy Club series. It was a very enjoyable read and I am thinking I need to add another one to my list!

  4. I’ve not heard of Alexander McCall Smith, I googled him, looks interesting. Hope you enjoy the books. I’ve just started Lord of the Rings for the first time 🙂

  5. 44 Scotland Street is really wonderful. I read sections of it aloud to my family – who were very appreciative! [smile] I’ve been waiting for the second one to come out; too bad this has to happen just when I’ve spent my last penny.

  6. I’ve discovered Republic of Tea Sweet Blueberry tea. I’m usually not knocked out with flavored teas, (except Earl Grey, of course) but I’ve been adding a bag of it to the pot along with my Irish Breakfast tea and it’s very nice.Tell me more about the books. Are they mysteries?
