So easy…so good!

I have given you this recipe before but never with step by step photos.

I want to show you how very easy it is to make these baked fudge bars.

You’ll never buy brownie mix again.

I call these my worship fudge bars because I make them every month for our worship team meeting – the teams LOVE them. A one bowl recipe, they are perfect for last minute company, bake sales, “nothing in the house and I’m starving” situations or chocolate craving emergencies!

They are dark, moist, chewy and oh so chocolately!

and, did I mention,

s.i.m.p.l.e. ?

Step 1  – Melt 3/4 cup butter or margerine in microwave with 1/2 cup cocoa

Step 2 – add 2 cups white sugar

Step 3 – mix in 3 eggs –

Step 4 – add a generous tsp vanilla

Step 5 – add a pinch salt

Step 6 – add 1 and 1/2 cups flour

Step 7 – add chocolate chips if desired.

you could stop and eat it right after this step  – the batter is so delicious  – but if you want, finish with step 8 – grease a 9 by 13 pan – bake at 325 until edges pull away. The brownies will look underdone – they are very moist.

Enjoy – in moderation – of course!

We don’t want to get in trouble like a certain someone we all know and love…

Good news regarding Gus – he continues to show signs of improvement. We are so thankful! Your prayers have been deeply appreciated. Thanks so much!

Oh those brownies look fabulous!!! I shall have to live them vicariously, not much of a cook, you see. I thoroughly enjoyed your pictures, and look forward to seeing your growth in the technical aspects of it. You certainly do have an eye for it! And I too, have wondered why it is called macro and not micro. I enjoyed the post.

  2. I now have all the ingredients on hand so I can make these any time. The other thing I have is the prequel to anne of Green Gables. Costco had it when I was there and I couldn’t resist!Have a wonderful weekend…

  3. We will have to make this recipe! We usually use a package of Ghiradelli (spelling?) mix. (They’re fantastic, too!) But it’s embarrassing when someone asks for the recipe! LOL! This way when we made your version we can say we made them from scratch! Also…so very glad to hear about the improvement of your friend Gus! Great news.

  4. Thanks for the recipe. I’m always looking for something quick for our growth group also. We’re with young marrieds and they are all so busy and love to depend on some of us home gals to bring some goodies.Sure glad to hear about Gus’s improvements.

  7. Oh I do love recipes with pictures and felt very inclined to make them until I saw the picture with pooh struggling through the hole and remembered my upcoming sabbatical and decided to make them afterwards.
