old mill stream  …

it flows through the hollow below our home on Polly Hill.

The mill pond is home to cormorants, ducks, geese, and eagles.

Our boys spent many happy hours fishing for trout there.

A  sawmill has been in operation there  from the early 1800’s, when the area was settled by Lord Selkirk’s Skye pioneers, until 2001. It’s for sale now and the community would love to see it restored as a heritage property.

Anyone interested? đŸ™‚

  1. Me! Me! I want it. I’ll be right up. Everyone who’s posh in Florida has a winter home, after all! Unfortunately, I’m not posh. Oh, well… a nice little daydream anyway.
