49 pictures to catch the droplet forming …

The sun is warm on my skin.

Light lingers in the evening.

Winter’s grip is broken.

Spirits rise like sap in maple trees.

Another bright and sunny Feb. day on the Island. I’m heading to see my doctor in town.

I bet I’ll see someone in shorts. It doesn’t take much to get an Islander to celebrate.

Hope you find reasons to celebrate today!

with love,

Standard

  1. Your patience paid off. .so pretty . . excellent photos. When our son was in high school, he took to wearing long shorts year round. He wore shorts everywhere except for weddings and funerals. . .until he married. .and got a real job. . I loved it, he had style that boy.

  2. That really cracks me up to see that hardy optimist in shorts in the dead of winter. When the sun comes out in Washington I’ll see people washing their cars in their shorts or swimsuits. Always makes me smile…Love the drops!!
