Well, hello there!

Welcome to

I’ve had quite a time going through my pictures trying to narrow them down.

Certainly more than 5 favourites this week!

But Suzanne is the one who created the game and I’ll try to stick to the rules!

1. We have to start with kitten news

Oh my goodness

How on earth are we supposed to get anything done around here??

We are surrounded by cuteness!

Somebody (no names mentioned) is completely besotted.

Pictures have been flying fast and furious between PEI and India.

Sarah, the official kitten namer,  has chosen:

June ~ in honour of the month she returns home.

India ~ in honour of her mission trip destination

Bella ~  a sweet name for a sweet kitten.

What will happen around here when we have grandbabies?

I’m afraid to imagine it. It just might come too close to idolatry 🙂

2. On to other news – a lovely soft rain is falling this morning

Good thing I have my new rainboots – for years I just pulled on Roger’s big green rubber boots.

But I decided – time for a more feminine pair that fit.

3. I’m not the only one enjoying the spring rain!

The flowers are thriving.

More and more beauty unfolds each day.

ForsythiaI love to go out each morning and see what new gift is waiting.

Bridal WreathThere are always new surprises.

Like this one …

Someone help me, please.

I planted these bulbs last fall,  but I don’t remember the name.

Carolyn, you will know for sure!

4. Speaking of surprises, look what came in the mail for me this week!

Jill, one of my favourite blogger friends, made this lovely springtime bag for me

and sent it along with some delicious homemade granola!

A sweet birthday gift! I love it – thank you Jill!!

If you haven’t met Jill yet, drop over for a visit and say hi to her, Brian and sweet little Victor.

I can hardly wait to use this pretty bag for my library books.

And that sentence is the perfect segue to my final favourite for the week!

5. A delicious new bookish website discovery.

Their slogan? “Yesterday’s Treasures with the Best of Today in Children’s Books”

A wonderful resource for homeschoolers, teachers and anyone interested in children’s literature.

My favourite page

Oh, I had fun there last evening! Let’s just say, my library request limit is maxed.

Well, I must scoot.

My four nieces are singing in the Music Festival this morning and I can’t wait to hear them!

Thanks for coming by and leaving a friendly hello. I appreciate every one.

I love to see where you all come from so don’t be shy ~  say hi!

Happy weekend!

with love and blessings,

Don’t forget to drop over to Suzanne’s for more Friday Faves Fun!

I concur with those that think they are hyacinths. Look like grape hyacinths to me. What sweet little kittens. It’s been a long time since I’ve held a kitten – our old kitty is 12 years old and showing his age. We can’t imagine the day he leaves us….but I’m sure we’ll spring for another tabby kitten when that day comes. I love them so.
