  1. The hummers never stay long here. I think we are in a flyway, but there’s not really a lot of hummer-friendly flowers out here on the prairie. Your goals are noble and I think you will accomplish them, Kathie.Jody

I tried to get a photo of a hummingbird a couple of days ago but by the time i figured out where the humming was coming from and tried to focus he was gone! You always do well with your camera so I am sure you will reach your goal soon.Carolyn

Hi Kathie, These photographs are WAAAY incredible. I can tell you are having a lot of fun with that camera. The hummingbird is one of my all time favorite critters. I think they are just magical and I eagerly await my first visitor each spring. I just spotted him yesterday.

  5. Kathie, I love the way you did that mosaic – really tells the story of your feathered visitors. And I’m with Linda — I can’t seem to photograph these fast birds. Could it be that I have a certain feline or two at my feet who are always ready to leap?

  7. OH your pictures are amazing .. and gives me incentive to plop myself in zoom range of my feeder and get the perfect shots. The little hummer with the closed blossoms are so sweet.
