Happy Friday everyone!

welcome to this week’s

It was not hard to find 5 beauty-filled moments this week.

Beginning with,

1. Beautiful August weather!

Variable cloudiness day after day. What a gift! Temperatures around 25 C ~ a little humidity but the new car with AC makes driving very comfortable.

We’ve had just enough rain to keep the gardens lush and green.

Such a change from the record-breaking rainfall of last August – remember this picture that I posted a year ago? It was front page news in our local paper.

Shudder . . . I must be slightly weather superstitious because I don’t even like re-posting that image 🙂

We Islanders are noted for our weather superstitions, lore, proverbs and rules.

One common example that always makes me grin – if we have a warm day in winter you would think that we could just enjoy it, right?

But no.

Invariably some oldtimer will shake his head mournfully and say,  “We’ll pay for this come July”.

2 Beautiful Island countryside ~ picking raspberries is light work with this lovely view.

Crimson red and luscious

3. Beautiful berry breakfast ~ almost too pretty to eat 🙂

4. Beautiful evening on the water with good friends

fishing fun!

5. Beautiful catch

Sarah and her friends hosted a bachelorette party for my friend Rinda’s girl, Katherine.

They stayed in a cozy A-frame lodge at a fishing campground ~ fished for rainbow trout, boated, ate, chatted around a campfire and laughed into the wee hours.

Not your usual bridal party, but this bride loves to fish

and look at her catch!

A beautiful bride-to-be!

Tomorrow is the big day.

Exciting times!

Thanks for joining me once again for Friday’s Fave Five.

Some great shots…I loved the last one…That’s my daughter exactly….We gave her a deep sea fishing gift for her university graduation….She loved. She’s out there first! That would be her idea of a stag.

Love, love, love the shots of the water – especially the sunset!I’m late visiting everyone’s sites this week (again) but I didn’t want to let a week go by without seeing your FFF post! I always enjoy yours so much!

How encouraging to see girls who love the clean halthy fun of the outdoors – my daughter and DIL would fit right in. That is their kind of fun and I’m so thrilled that they are passing it on to their families. When parents set this kind of example the kids usually follow.I also love the beach pictures of the little guy enjoying the waves. You can feel his pure joy!

You seem to have gone to lots of weddings lately. ‘Tis the season. :v)I can’t see that pic of the rain you posted but it’s probably just as well, because I think I’ve had enough rain for a while. While I love the smell, the cold and cloudy days are overstaying their welcome. That breakfast bowl looks mouthwatering!

  8. Angie says:

Oh, Kathie. Those shots on the water are stupendously beautiful. Glassy indeed. I love the mottled reflections of sky in them.
