wild, wet and windy

but indoors all is warm, snug and cosy.

It smells good too!

Mmm mm cranberry orange scones – thanks Marg! They turned out perfectly.

Double mmm!!  Nannie’s boiled raisin cake. Moist, delicious and fills the kitchen with a sweet spicy fragrance. Our favourite cake.

I think this is one of the best I’ve ever made.

Wouldn’t you like a slice? Or maybe a scone? Or both??

It’s a perfect day to share a cup of tea by the fire.

Come on over!

Oh, you totally inspired me to make the raisin cake tonight – it's so delicious and you're right about the lovely aroma too! I live in Ontario and love seeing all the gorgeous pictures of your beautiful province that you post on your blog.

  2. I'll take both, please! How I wish I could join you by the fire! I will have to join you mentally instead. That boiled raisin cake reminds me of a recipe my granny left me – I'm going to have to dig it out and whip it up.

Hi Kathie, I will have to try one of each, please! It is good to be indoors by the fire these days. The angel that I have came from a shop in S'Side that is no longer open but I have seen similar ones at Michael's the past few years but I haven't been in lately. If I see one similar I will let you know.I love your owl -I have never seen one.Carolyn

Good Morning Kathie! Hasn't it been a windy, wet few days? The rain has stopped here but it's still cloudy and windy and cold. Your cozy fire and rocking chair are beckoning me. Along with the lovely looking scones and cake. Yummy! Have a great day!jPamela
