FFF ~ remembering

Hello there and a very warm welcome to

This week I’m taking a few moments to remember . . .

Remembrance Day, Nov 2010

1. The whir of the pipes and the beat of the drums in the raw November wind.

2. The line of veterans, still bravely marching  though the parade grows smaller year by year.

3. Their stories ~ a WW1 silk postcard sent by a soldier in France to his sister in Belfast, Prince Edward Island.

To M. A. Ross from Neil

4. The stone’s etching tells the rest of his story – the brother who never came home.

5. and we remember . . .

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them . . .

Thank you so much for taking a few minutes to remember with me.

Many blessings to you and yours!

with love

  1. Beautiful post. As for the plants in my window box…boxwood and some type of evergreen whose name I cannot remember now. I have not overwintered them in the window boxes yet. I asked at the nursery and they said as long as they were not battered daily by the winter winds they should be fine. I am in coastal N.H. USA and it is a zone 5. Good luck.
