Christmas, family, Home, winter

What is it with Mondays??

Hello from stormy Prince Edward Island!

For the 4th Monday in a row we’re being walloped with a stormy blast!

The first three Monday storms were all wind and rain – a lot of coastal damage and flooding. One lighthouse was ripped off its base by wind and waves and washed 150 ft inland.

On this Monday we finally have some snow but even as I type this blog entry, it’s changing to rain.

It’s a good day to stay snug and warm indoors despite the Boxing Week sales!

It’s been a very full Christmas weekend – a packed Christmas Eve service, friends and family here for Christmas Eve chowder and appetizers, a delicious Christmas morning brunch prepared by dh and dd (yay!), stockings and gift giving, music and laughter and a Christmas feast in the evening! Note the left hand corner of the bottom picture – Andrew and Hyekoo joined us from London. Thank you Skype! Not quite the same but still so sweet to see and hear our dear boy and his sweet wife!

Hope your Christmas was wonderful too!

with love,

You had live music and "piped in" family! You managed to be retro and cutting edge all at once. Food that the menfolk make is always extra good. Wish we could visit each other in person today, wouldn't that be fun? Happy third day of Christmas!
