Wedding watching

 on youtube

and on tv.

We have a family wedding this summer

so I’m getting tips 🙂

I’m just watching the queen leave Buckingham Palace and she’s wearing yellow.

Robbie and Dorothy’s colours are grey and yellow.

But will I go with the hat??

What do you think Jill?

And now Kate is on the way – looking every inch a beautiful princess in her simple, yet elegant, gown.

And her Prince, William, is handsome in his red uniform of Colonel of the Irish Guards.

I’m listening to the crowds along the procession – cheering wildly! Most of them have been up all night for that one quick glimpse of the limos driving by.

I’m glad to be here, tucked up on the couch, in my wedding outfit (white nightie with pink rosebuds)

and

my hot coffee.

Now they’re singing one of my favourite hymns – Guide Me O Thou Redeemer (Jehovah)

And that’s my prayer for this young couple – Father, hold them with Your powerful hand.

Happy wedding day!

  1. Beautiful royal wedding post. I love yellow. I loved to see the Queen dressed in such a vibrant spring color. Go with yellow. OH ..and just so you know. .I've voted at my end of the country. ..perhaps you can pop me an email to let me know how it goes at your end of the country when the polls close. 🙂

  2. We were glad that the wedding was 7pm Japan time! Her dress was beautiful, and the ceremony and the music really lovely. I couldn't get over the Queens gorgeous skin! I hope mine looks half that good 40-something years form now! :o)

  3. I also watched the royal wedding this morning. I was in my nightie and big, fluffy robe and had English breakfast tea and toast with marmelade! Wasn't it a beautiful ceremony? I loved the old hymns and was saddened at how few knew the words. I even knew some of the words, did you? They are a beautiful couple indeed! I hope you have a lovely weekend. Blessings, Pamela
