fff ~ enjoying

Hi and welcome to Friday’s Fave Five – the weekly blessing list hosted by Susanne at Living to Tell the Story.

Here are a few things I’m enjoying this week . . .

1. My new e-reader- The Libre Pro- very basic – no bells and whistles – but it works!

It came pre-loaded with 100 free books, I can order new books and I can also read my library books on it.

I’m enjoying a lovely re-read, Elizabeth Peter’s, Crocodile on the Sandback, and, just starting, Every Day in Tuscany ~ Seasons of An Italian Life by Fances Mayes.

2. Enjoying some time with my old friend  Leslie Sansone – she’s always up for a walk. 🙂

4. Eating lots of fruit and veggies with a bit of dark chocolate thrown in.

4. Yay for a brand new dishwasher to be delivered today. Our old one gave up the ghost.

5.  Frosty trees in the early morning sunlight.

Hoping no one sees me as I dash outside in Roger’s big green rubber boots, and a down coat thrown over my pjs, to take some pictures.

The world all aglitter.

Hope you enjoyed your Friday Fave visit ~ thanks so much for coming by!
Happy weekend!

with love,

Standard

I got an e-reader for Christmas as well – A Kobo. One book you might like to download is called "the Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet" by Jamie Ford. We're doing it in our book club next month. It's such a tender story based in Seattle during the evacuation of the Japanese in 1942. Enjoy!PS As usual, your pictures are fabulous! My favourite is the one of the frosty flower heads – the lighting is superb! We finally have winter and I'm enjoying it so much – over 20 cm of snow since Friday – love it!

  3. well, I don't know what an e reader is…is it similar to the Nook? that's what I gave my hubby for xmas! Personally I need to hold and smell a book! lol…I guess I"m old fashioned when it comes to reading! 🙂 love these pictures and yay for walking, eating more fruits and veggies and even a bit of dark chocolate! I'm trying to add more fruit and less refined sugar. I LOVE fresh grapefruit but have a bad habit of sprinkling refined sugar on top….i'm slowly weaning my self off of it! Have a restful weekend!

  4. That's a healthy diet you got there! Great pictures again this week. I can imagine all you care about is capturing that moment, with such icy beauty surrounding you! Have a great weekend and a lovely week ahead!

  5. Great faves today. I'm interested in the exercise dvd. Is it walking on the spot exercises? Is it complicated? Is it for a 60 something female with no ambition??? Is it easy?? I have noticed a lot of these in stores, the usual 'lose your Christmas diet weight gain in the new year' advertising. But, I don't now which one to chose. Any advice?? Thanks Kathie. Blessings, Pam

  7. I enjoy an e-reader, too. Wow, 100 free books on it! What a deal! I still prefer physical books, but e-readers are nice, and a Facebook fiend constantly puts up links to free e-books.I have a Leslie Sansone DVD I like — I need to get back to it.How fun to get a new dishwasher! I love new appliances.Smiling at imagining you running outside with a coat thrown over pjs to take pictures. They are indeed lovely,

  8. All the contents of your fruit bowl look so yummy. Spying the piece of chocolate made me laugh.Your pictures of the frost-tinged tress make winter look lovely. So glad I get to just view your photos and not have to live in it. :)I enjoy my e-reader as well. It was especially useful when I was recuperating from a broken shoulder this past year. I haven't read the books you shared. But I am going to the library (hopefully tomorrow) and will look to see if they are there.Stay warm and have a great week, Kathie.
