The leaves are still hanging on but probably not for much longer.

The wind is really picking up as Hurricane Sandy makes its way up the coast. Our gutters are clear and the lawn furniture is safely stowed away, so we’re ready as can be. Generally there’s not too much weather panic around here – Maritimers are accustomed to stormy weather, particularly in the fall and winter.

Praying it won’t bring as much damage as predicted, especially to the heavily populated areas in the Northeast USA.

Stay safe!

  1. Thought of all my friends on the east coast during this storm and now, too. Katie and Andrew fared well on the coast of North Carolina. My niece and her family in New York City lost power and running water. Hope all is still well on your island! Blessings…

Thinking of you all in the east as Sandy batters the coast – In fact I woke up at 4:30 this morning praying for all those affected – especially the homeless.Thank you for sharing your glorious fall leaves with us.

  3. I am waiting to see what happens here too, hopefully not too much rain! We had a flood in our basement with the last big storm in September and are just finally getting to the end of the renovations! It's nothing compared to all the people in Sandy's path. I hope everyone stays safe.Beautiful photo šŸ™‚
