1. Blossoms everywhere!

2. The whole garden finally planted! 21 rows of veggies and cut flowers. The potatoes and oregano have a good head start on the rest of the crop. All my windowboxes and beds are planted too. A good job done,

3. As I was planting the garden, a Canadian Tiger Swallowtail butterfly kept flitting by. Finally, it landed on our next-door neighbours’ phlox. I had my camera ready!

4. We’ve been following the band boys on their American tour. They played in Philly for the first time and had a brief, but lovely, visit with their aunt, uncle and cousins. I wonder how the city liked their song Philadelphia?

5. Sarah is enjoying her work as a Confederation player again this year.  If you visit Charlottetown, you might see her playing croquet by Province House.

or, you might just see her sporting some red braids.  🙂

Thanks for coming by! For more favourites, drop over to visit Susanne and the FFF friends at Living To Tell The Story.

Happy first day of summer everyone!

with love,

My nephew and family just moved to your beautiful province. One more reason to see your part of the country sometime.Gorgeous photos as always!

  2. When we were on PEI we bought some lupin seeds, but alas, they didn’t like our hot and humid Southern climate.

I LOVE the picture of your daughter as Anne!

Hi Kathie! I stopped by last night and left a comment but something messed up so i came back this morning to see if it was here. No, can’t find it listed. Anyway, i’ll try again. I would love to see Sarah dressed as Anne!! What a wonderful experiences she’s having and I’m sure wonderful tales to tell her children and grandchildren. I love your lupines and new header. Ours bloomed this year!!! It’s from a packet I picked up at Anne’s museum when we were there. So now I’ll always have memories of you when they bloom each year. ~ Deb

You are blooming and I love all your blooms. That is a great garden patch for sure. Katie and I are still talking about a possible trip to PEI. Is Fall an ok time to travel there? For some reason I’m not getting feeds anymore for your blog. I’ll have to check and see what’s up.

Oh the burst of color scrolling down this post is lovely! It sounds like you have a massive sized garden. But enjoying what comes out of must be mighty delicious.

I’ve seen those butterflies here for the first time since last year. We’ve had one flitting in and out of our yard everyday for the past few weeks.

It sounds like your boys are getting to travel around quite a bit. Quite an adventure!

  8. Your photos are so beautiful Kathie. I tried to capture a swallowtail butterfly yesterday but it wouldn’t stay very still for me. It was quite a large one too! Happy summer to you!
