New Year

Well, it’s been a wonderful time with lots of celebrations and  gatherings with family and friends over the holidays.

Christmas_2013Happy memories!

And this week? The Christmas decorations are all packed away, the Christmas sweets are all eaten, and our social calendar even has an empty space or two.

Life is returning to its daily rhythms. And that feels good.

Christmas finch I love the celebrations and I love the return to normal.

  1. Kathie, that photograph of your snowy church at sunset could be a Christmas card. How lovely. And your bird photos are good encouragement to me to fill the feeders AND set up my tripod.

I LOVE Christmas, but I also love the clean-swept feeling of January. And I feel thankful that everyday life, with its quieter joys, pleases me as well as the more festive seasons.

    Blessings to you for 2014!

  2. Hi Kathie, Happy new year to you! It’s nice to be back to normal isn’t it? I use my apple slicer like that a lot. A great tool! I hope you have a great week and stay warm in this cold snap! Blessings, Pam

I bought one of those apple corer/slice thingees for our son Dan for his stocking. Since he has a few trees I thought it would be a handy gadget. Love the beautiful images of your world…
