It’s summertime ~ so many things to enjoy!
1. Blossoms everywhere
I’m hoping my peonies survive Hurricane Arther – we’re expecting high winds and rain tomorrow.
2. Celebrations
The fireworks on Canada Day were awesome but according to Josie “noisy”! Roger had to walk her back to the car. We’ll try again next year 🙂
3. Walk and smiles with this little boy!
4. Delicious treats – incredible cinnamon rolls made by John.He followed this recipe Ooey- Gooey Cinnamon Buns from recipe.com.
and Prince Edward Island Preserve Company‘s signature dessert – raspberry cream cheese pie. Oh my . . .
5. After enjoying those goodies, it’s a good thing I’m spending time here.
This was my first day of hopefully many this summer! Happy sigh.
Well I think I better head out and put away our deck chairs and stake up those poor peonies. We’re in for a stormy day tomorrow!
Thanks for visiting me. Hope you have a great weekend! And to all my American friends – a very Happy 4th!
Many blessings
with love,

If my cats could talk, they’d agree with Josie’s assessment: Noisy!
So good to see some of the blooms in your neck of the woods. MORE please! Maybe Arthur will leave y’all well enough alone.

Hope you are finding that the storm is not as bad as predicted. I agree with Josie, fireworks are noisy. 🙂 But I do love them. This year I just watched them over the tree tops from my front window. That precious baby smile! So adorable. And that pie and buns now have my mouth watering!!

Lots of blessings this past week for you Kathie. Love the sweet photos of Oscar. I’ve put most of my moveable plants in the garage. Pretty sad to have to do that but better there than drenched with rain. Take care. Pam

I tied up my peonies – they are at their peak and heavy with blooms – I’m hoping they’ll survive. Hope it doesn’t hit you folk too badly. Nova Scotia is getting it hard right now.

Hope the weather isn’t too bad and that your peonies survive. I’ve never tried to grow those but they’re so lovely, I should.
Love the baby pictures!
I love fireworks displays but not the crowds and traffic. We can’t go this year with my husband’s mom with us, but maybe some day we’ll get back to them.
Those cinnamon roles look awesome!

Those cinnamon rolls were beyond delicious! They were too good 🙂
You should try peonies – they’re simple to grow and very showy, They only last for a few weeks though. Hydrangeas are the best buy for our climate. They bloom all summer.
